Menyulam Itu Mudah!
Sejak awal tahun 2018 saya mulai menekuni lagi hobi zaman SMP dulu: sulaman. Sudah lebih dari 10 tahun sejak terakhir saya menyulam, tapi sepertinya saya masih bisa. Jadi tahun ini saya berencana untuk fokus menyulam lagi untuk menumpahkan sisi kreativitas saya dan untuk mengisi waktu luang.
Since early 2018 I've been reconnecting with my old hobby back in my adolescence years: embroidery. It had been more than a decade since the last time I touch anything about needle and thread, but I guess the skill never really left me. So this year I decide to focus on embroidering as a way to create and to spend my spare time with.

Ini adalah cara yang menyenangkan (dan bersih) untuk melukis tanpa cat. Jadi nggak perlu takut sulit mencampur warna atau bekas cat yang susah dibersihkan. Apalagi karena saya sangat kepingin bisa melukis tapi tidak jago dengan cat dan kuas. (Roda Warna seperti di atas adalah tugas proyek yang paling saya benci di kelas Teori Warna - bayangin bikin ginian pakai cat!)
It is a fun (and clean) way to paint without paint - no need to deal with mixing colours and messy stains. Moreover because I am the kind who really wants to paint but not good with paint and brush. Ditarik balik ke belakang, sulaman pertama kali ditemukan pada abad kelima s/d ketiga Sebelum Masehi, atau lebih tua dari itu, dan ditemukan di peradaban lain di seluruh dunia. Jadi teknik ini adalah salah satu kerajinan paling kuno. Keren kan!
It was first dated back to 5th - 3rd century BC in China - or maybe older than that - and found in other civilizations around the world. So this technique is one of the most ancient handicrafts. How cool is that?
